EOS 40D 在默认色彩设置和标准5200色温的情况下，画面色彩浓郁，对比度强烈，色温呈偏蓝偏冷。
40D 的测光系统更为敏感。全局测光下，对于明暗差异大的场景会容易出现目标景物曝光过度或不足；中央测光下，虽然目标景物的曝光基本正常，但不易控制其余部分的曝光；平均测光下则无突出表现。
40D 的白平衡偏冷，在5200K下比起10D\350D系列都来的冷，画面偏蓝。需调节到5800-6200K之间才能达到正常色温。
40D 的默认色彩设置偏浓，必须降低2格饱和度才能接近现实色彩。

It is amazing to see another ten months that have passed, and summer again is coming soon. Vancouver's weather is very odd these days as these extremely hot sunny days and cold raining days.

Two months ago, it was barely to see any flowers. The unusual weather and constant rains washed away almost everything, especially the snow came in the beginning of April. Only in the later of April, the temperature seemed to recover a little bit as trees started to bud, and then followed by cherry blossoms and roses bloomed one after the other. Though temperature was mostly around ten degrees, the snow of cherry blossom warmed the air and brought a pleasant time in the early of May. Nevertheless, the news of earthquake suddenly broke the peace in May, and rain started again. In the later of May, there were not much flowers bloomed, but the faded leaves and petals were deserted on the blacktop. The beginning of June finally became flourishing again. Flaming-coloured flowers opened their arms; plump sparrows jumped around branches.

There is always one thing that never changes. The sun shines again after rain.

锐化照片：
首选智能锐化，较为精确，可调节参数多，参考如下：
数量：一般100%左右
半径：0.3像素为佳，锐化后的图像很细致
其他参数默认。
补助锐化使用USM锐化，可提升照片的对比度，参考如下：
数量：40%左右
半径：60.0像素左右
阈值：6色阶

处理扫描照片：
通常扫描照片有大量噪点网纹和色素干扰，扫描时尽可能使用高的DPI（譬如600）。
通常去除噪点都是使用模糊工具，如“表面模糊”（参考参数：半径3像素，阈值8色阶）可以去除大部分噪点。
使用CS3中的“减少杂色”来进行深度修正，效果显著。参考参数如下：
强度6-8
保留细节0%-1%
减少杂色70%左右
锐化细节50%左右
补充：在同一图片上进行多次“减少杂色”，会产生绘画效果，再配合“表面模糊”可产生色块效果。

近些时间，越来越能感到那些纯粹直白的形式透出的力量。当我看到2个圆圈组成的眼睛和成百线条组成的眼睛时，发现更具冲击力的是那2个圆圈的眼睛。
